Driver seriously hurt in two-vehicle crash on Hwy T in St. Charles County

ST CHARLES COUNTY, MO — A 20-year-old man from Wentzville suffered serious injuries when his vehicle collided with a pickup truck on Highway T in south Foristell, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at the intersection with Schnarre Road at about 4:40 p.m.

MSHP officials said the victim was driving a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse northbound on Highway T at the same time a 2020 Ford F-150 pickup truck was heading southbound. At the intersection, the driver of the Ford, a 58-year-old man from Quincy, Illinois, was stopped behind a vehicle that was making a left turn onto Schnarre Road and into the path of the Mitsubishi.

The crash report indicates that while trying to avoid a crash with the turning vehicle, the driver of the Mitsubishi veered past the centerline, causing the Mitsubishi to collide with the front-end of the Ford.

Charles County Ambulance District crews rushed the driver of the Mitsubishi to Mercy Hospital Washington for serious injuries.

Both vehicles were totaled in the incident.
