JOHNSON COUNTY, IL – An accident involving a pickup truck in Johnson County left two people injured on Tuesday night, according to KFVS.
Illinois State Police were called to the scene on Interstate 24 eastbound at milepost 9 near Goreville.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of a pickup truck with a camper trailer lost control of the vehicle at about 9 p.m. and the pickup rolled over into the eastbound lane of the interstate.
The driver and passenger were injured and transported to an area hospital, but no details were released on their conditions.
The eastbound lanes of I-24 were shut down while the wreck was being cleared. Traffic was diverted at the exit for Tunnel Hill Road.
