IL: 4 hospitalized following head-on collision at Clinton County intersection

CLINTON COUNTY, IL — A two-vehicle crash last Friday afternoon, March 8, at an intersection in rural northeast Carlyle left four people injured, according to WJBD.

The accident was reported at Boulder Road and Crantford Road, in an area south of Boulder, at about 3:32 p.m. Huey-Ferrin-Boulder Fire personnel were on the scene shortly after.

Local officials have not released a statement about the circumstances of the event, but Sandoval Ambulance crews rushed one juvenile to St. Louis’ Cardinal Glennon Hospital and another patient to Breese’s St. Joseph’s Hospital.

A third victim was transported by Medstar to the helipad at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospital to be airlifted to a St. Louis Hospital. A fourth patient was transported by United Medical Response to Centralia’s SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital.
