KC: 1 injured in rollover crash on I-29 near NW Kansas City

PLATTE COUNTY, MO — A 57-year-old woman was hospitalized Monday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 29 near northwest Kansas City, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident was reported south of 64th Street (Exit 5), near the city’s Parkdale-Walden neighborhood, at about 3:30 p.m.

Officials say the woman, a local resident, was operating a 2010 Cadillac SRX southbound when she made a lane change and caused the vehicle to hit a 2008 Ford Focus. The Cadillac then traveled off the roadway and overturned.

EMS personnel transported the driver of the Cadillac to Kansas City Hospital for moderate injuries.

The other driver, a 28-year-old man from Woodstock, Illinois, was not reported hurt.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene.
