KC: 2 hurt following motorcycle crash near Self Help Neighborhood Council

KANSAS CITY, MO – According to FOX 4, two people were hurt in a motorcycle wreck near US 71 NB and E Gregory Blvd on Tuesday.

A man was riding a motorcycle with a female passenger when he strayed off E Gregory Blvd and hit a curb on the concrete island. He then hit a traffic light pole and another curb before both he and his passenger were ejected from the motorcycle around 1:20 a.m.

The female passenger slammed into the pole of a traffic sign when she was thrown from the motorcycle.

Rescue crews transported the man and woman to area hospitals. The man had life-threatening injuries, and the woman was admitted in critical condition. The man was wearing a helmet; it is unclear if the woman was.

Authorities believe impairment may have been a factor in the collision.
