KC: 2 hurt following single-vehicle crash on SE MO 13 in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, MO – According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two people were hurt in a single-vehicle collision near 350 SE MO 13 on Sunday.

A 76-year-old man was driving a 2016 Lincoln MKZ north on MO 13 when a mechanical malfunction caused the driver to hit a curb before going off the road and down an embankment around 9:38 p.m.

Rescue crews transported the driver’s 66-year-old male passenger to an area hospital with serious injuries. A private vehicle took the driver to the hospital with minor injuries.
