CASS COUNTY, MO – A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Cass County on Sunday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
The accident took place on Missouri 7 Highway at Sycamore Grove Road just outside of Garden City, Missouri. An initial investigation indicated that the driver of a 2009 Toyota Sienna minivan was heading northbound at about 4:40 p.m. when he drove off the roadway and crossed into the southbound lanes of traffic.
The minivan struck a pile of gravel, causing it to overturn. The driver, a 41-year-old man from Belton, was pronounced dead at the scene by Garden City EMS.
