KANSAS CITY, MO – According to KCTV, a driver was critically injured in a single-collision on Interstate 470 on June 21.
A person was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe east on Interstate 470 at high speeds when they failed to negotiate a curve and strayed off the road around 2:45 a.m. They crashed into guardrails, rolled over them, hit another set of guardrails, and slammed into a concrete barrier before coming to rest in the westbound lanes.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the Tahoe. First responders transported him to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Kansas City Police Department is investigating the incident.
