KANSAS CITY, MO – A crash involving a pickup truck in Kansas City sent the driver to the hospital with critical injuries.
Fox 4 KC reported that the accident occurred Wednesday afternoon on Highway 71 near Longview Road. The Kansas City Police Department said that the driver of a GMC Sierra was heading south when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway,
The pickup struck a guardrail several times, rolled over, and slid southbound on the highway.
The driver, the only person in the Sierra, was hospitalized in critical but stable condition. The incident shut down four lanes of the southbound 71 Highway for two and a half hours during the accident response and investigation.
