KC: Driver injured in rear-end crash on I-29 SB near north Kansas City

CLAY COUNTY, MO – A 37-year-old woman from Olathe, Kansas, was sent to a hospital Tuesday afternoon after her car rear-ended another vehicle on Interstate 29 near north Kansas City, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on the southbound lanes at North Oak Trafficway at around 4:09 p.m.

Officials say the woman was driving a 2008 BMW 7 Series southbound when the car struck the back of a southbound 2015 Nissan Murano driven by a 55-year-old woman from Lathrop.

First responders with KC Fire transported the driver of the BMW to North Kansas City Hospital with minor injuries.

The BMW and the Nissan sustained total and extensive damages, respectively.
