KC: Driver left injured after collision off Highway M in Benton County

BENTON COUNTY, MO – A single-vehicle wreck late Monday morning off State Highway M near Edwards left a 65-year-old man injured, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident took place at the intersection with McKenna Villa Road and was first reported at 11:27 a.m.

Officials say the victim, a local resident, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet 1500 southbound on Highway M when, for reasons still unclear, the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, hit an embankment, and then a tree.

Although the MSHP crash report indicates the male driver sustained minor injuries, he declined treatment at the scene.
