KC: Man, 25, dies following motorcycle crash on W Park Rd near Lee’s Summit

JACKSON COUNTY, MO – A 25-year-old man from Grain Valley lost his life Sunday night due to a motorcycle accident on West Park Road near Lee’s Summit, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The fatal wreck took place in an area north of Northeast Colbern Road and was first reported at around 8:15 p.m.

Officials say the man was operating a 2014 Honda motorcycle southbound on West Park Road when the bike veered off the roadway and collided with a guard rail.

The rider, who was ejected during the crash, was rushed to St. Luke’s East Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
