KC: Man convicted for fatal crash on I-435 in Overland Park

OVERLAND PARK, MO – According to KSHB, a man was convicted of reckless second-degree murder for his role in a fatal crash that occurred on I-434 near Quivira Rd on Dec. 10, 2022.

A then 31-year-old man was driving west in the eastbound lanes of I-435 when he collided with another vehicle head-on around 11:30 p.m. He then hit a second vehicle.

Rescue crews pronounced the driver of the vehicle that was struck first dead at the scene. The driver of the other car was not hurt in the collision.

A court found the driver who caused the crash guilty on Wednesday. He will be sentenced on July 17.
