KC: Motorcyclist left hurt after crash with car on Winchester Ave in Pettis County

PETTIS COUNTY, MO – A 27-year-old man was injured due to a motorcycle wreck involving another vehicle late Monday afternoon in Sedalia, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The collision took place on the southbound lanes of Winchester Avenue, south of U.S. Highway 50. It was first reported at 4:35 p.m.

An early investigation found that a 33-year-old woman, of Sedalia, was driving a white 2017 Ford Fusion westbound when she entered a nearby intersection, in the direct path of a green 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling being operated southbound by the victim, also of Sedalia.

The male rider sustained injuries described as “moderate.”According to the MSHP crash report, the patient was expected to seek out their own treatment.

The bike and the car received total and extensive damages, respectively, and had to be towed from the scene.

It’s unclear whether the Sedalia woman is expected to be charged or cited.
