KC: MSHP Trooper Hospitalized After Crash Involving Big Rig in MO City

KANSAS CITY, MO – A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper was sent to the hospital after a crash involving a big rig in Missouri City on Tuesday.

The incident happened before noon at the intersection of Missouri 210 and Stillhouse Road, which is approximately 22 miles northeast of Kansas City. KSHB said the trooper’s cruiser collided with a big rig, leaving the MSHP trooper with serious injuries.

Fire crews had to extricate the trooper from their vehicle prior to being taken to the ER, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office reveals.

The trooper is now reportedly in stable condition, while the truck driver was spared from injuries.

Authorities shut down the road to accommodate the on-scene clean-up process and investigation.
