INDEPENDENCE, MO – The Independence Police Department responded to a crash involving a juvenile riding a mini-bike on Monday night, according to KSHB.
The accident occurred at about 7:48 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 24 Highway and Liberty Street. Police said the mini-bike collided with a 2025 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
The mini-bike rider was seriously injured and taken to an area hospital. The Tacoma driver, who was not seriously hurt, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
