KANSAS CITY, MO – A runner was injured after being struck by a car in Douglas County on Friday morning, Fox 4 reports.
The incident occurred on N 1400 Road between Eudora and Lawrence around 5:30 a.m. according to Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
N 1400 Road was closed between E 1900 and E 2000 for several hours as deputies investigated the accident.
