KANSAS CITY, MO – A hit-and-run crash in Kansas City early Sunday morning sent several people to the hospital, KCTV reported.
Police officers were dispatched to the area of Jackson Avenue and E. 24th Street after being notified of the incident just after 2 a.m. The preliminary investigation found the driver of a white Dodge 1500 pickup truck was making a left turn from Jackson onto 24th Street when a sedan tried to pass it and the vehicles collided. The sedan ended up ‘wrapped around a utility pole’, according to the report.
The driver and rear-seat passengers in the sedan suffered critical injuries but were listed in stable condition. The driver of the Dodge left the scene after the wreck and is now being sought.
