KC: Teen driver injured in rollover crash off MO-58 near Holden

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO — A 16-year-old Centerview resident was reported hurt following a single-vehicle accident Thursday morning off State Highway 58 near east Holden, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The wreck occurred on the eastbound lanes of MO-58 at Southwest County Road O, at about 7:00 a.m. Johnson County Sheriff’s Department deputies joined the MSHP at the scene shortly after.

An investigation by Trooper S.L. Edwards indicates the teen was driving a 2005 Buick Centry eastbound on the highway when, for reasons still unclear, the vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree, and rolled over.

The MSHP crash report indicates the boy sustained minor injuries, but that he declined treatment. No hospital transports were recorded in the report.

The Buick, which received total damages, was towed from the area.
