KANSAS CITY, MO – A motorcycle accident on US Route 169 in Kansas City left the rider critically injured, reports KCTV.
Police responded to the scene early Saturday at about 12:30 a.m. after the wreck occurred near the Charles B. Wheeler Airport. Investigators learned that a woman was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound from US Route 9 when she lost control while trying to navigate a curve.
It was reported that the rider laid the bike down on the road and collided with a barrier wall. She was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
The Kansas City Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
