MO: 1 injured as 18-wheeler overturns on Hwy F near Portageville

NEW MADRID COUNTY, MI — A semi-truck overturned late Thursday afternoon on Route F near Portageville, leaving its 47-year-old male driver injured, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on the westbound lanes of the highway, about three miles north of Portageville. It was first reported at around 3:50 p.m.

Officials did not immediately indicate a potential cause of the wreck, but the victim, a Portageville resident, was operating a 2006 International westbound when it ran off the roadway and rolled over.

First responders had the driver transported by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center for injuries deemed minor.

The semi sustained total damages and had to be towed from the crash site.
