MO: 1 left hurt after collision off US-60 EB in Wright County

WRIGHT COUNTY, MO – A 63-year-old Norwood woman suffered minor injuries Friday morning as a result of a single-vehicle wreck off U.S. Highway 60 near Mountain Grove, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on the eastbound lanes, about two miles west of Mountain Grove, and was first reported at about 10:00 a.m.

Officials say the woman was operating a 2014 Chevrolet Captiva eastbound when she missed her intended exit. Moments later, the vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway, hit a road sign, and then re-entered the roadway before coming to a stop off the roadway’s right side.

Texas County Memorial EMS personnel had the female driver transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, for injuries believed to be minor.

The Chevrolet sustained extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene.
