MO: 1 left injured after two-vehicle wreck in Greene County

GREENE COUNTY, MO — A 35-year-old man was sent to a hospital Wednesday evening following a collision just southwest of Springfield, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on a stretch of Marcella Drive, about 540 feet southwest from the city, at about 8:45 p.m.

Officials say the victim, John Hilton, a local resident, was driving a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander eastbound when the vehicle struck a 2018 Ford Edge that was parked facing eastbound.

While the parked Ford appeared to have been unoccupied at the time of the wreck, Hilton suffered minor injuries in the incident and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

The cause of the crash remains unclear and no charges have been reported.
