MO: 2 hospitalized after 2-vehicle wreck on MO-413 near Springfield

GREENE COUNTY, MO — Two drivers suffered injuries early Thursday evening due to a collision on Missouri State Highway 413 near Springfield, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident was reported at around 5:50 p.m., on a stretch of MO-413 about two miles west of the city.

A preliminary crash report indicates a 64 year-old, was driving a 2011 Ford Explorer when he failed to yield and entered the path of a 2021 Tesla Model 3 driven by a woman, 31.

First responders had the Ford driver taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, while the woman was transported to the city’s Cox South Hospital. Officials noted that both drivers sustained moderate injuries. Both were found to have been wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

No pending charges or other information has been shared at this time.
