MO: 2 left injured after head-on collision on MO-21 in Iron County

IRON COUNTY, MO — Two people from Belleview were hospitalized after their vehicles collided head-on early Friday on State Highway 21 in Pilot Knob, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The two-vehicle crash was reported on a stretch of MO-21 at around 12:12 a.m.

A preliminary crash report found that a 41-year-old was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus southbound when the car veered past the centerline and hit a northbound 2018 Ford Explorer head-on.

The Ford Taurus driver and the other driver, a 54-year-old, suffered moderate and minor injuries, respectively. First responders transported the Ford Taurus driver by ambulance to Parkland Medical Center in Farmington, while the Ford Explorer driver was taken via private conveyance to Iron County Medical Center in Pilot Knob.

The cause of the wreck remains unclear at this time, and no charges have been reported.
