CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO – A single-vehicle wreck in Cape Girardeau County sent two people to the hospital on Monday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The MSHP said the driver of a 2007 Ford Focus was headed north on Missouri 25 when the accident happened at about 1:43 p.m. about four miles south of Delta.
The car ran off the right side of the roadway where the driver overcorrected, and the vehicle overturned.
The driver, an 18-year-old man from Benton, Missouri, and his passenger, a 34-year-old man from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, both suffered moderate injuries. They were taken by ambulance to St Francis Medical Center for treatment.
