MO: Driver dies after vehicle hits tree off Talking Rocks Rd in Stone County

STONE COUNTY, MO – A 73-year-old man died following a single-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon on Talking Rocks Road, south of Branson West, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Officials said the wreck occurred at the intersection with Waterfield Drive, about two miles south of the city. It was first reported at around 2:30 p.m.

An early investigation indicates the man was driving a 2020 Nissan Murano northbound when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway, and then veered off the left side of the roadway before colliding with a tree.

The male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene at 4:10 p.m. by Stone County Coroner John Cunnyngham.

No other injuries were reported and no other occupants or vehicles appear to have been involved.
