MO: Driver killed in single-car wreck on Route J near Puxico

STODDARD COUNTY, MO — A single-vehicle rollover crash Monday morning near west Puxico claimed the life of a 41-year-old local resident, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on a stretch of Route J about two miles west of the city and was first reported at 8:55 a.m.

Preliminary details indicate the victim was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Impala westbound when the vehicle veered off the roadway, hit a culvert, and then overturned.

The male driver, who was ejected during the crash, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Stoddard County Coroner at 9:06 a.m.

Officials have not disclosed what led up to the crash, but no other vehicles appear to have been involved, and no other injuries were reported.
