ATCHISON TOWNSHIP, MO – According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, one person was hurt in a rear-end collision at US 169 and Southwest 247th Street on Saturday morning.
A 23-year-old man was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado south on US 169 when he slammed into the back of a 2017 Ford Focus operated by a 38-year-old woman who was slowing down to make a left turn onto Southwest 247th Street around 8:20 a.m.
First responders transported the 38-year-old woman to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
