MO: Motorcyclist seriously hurt in head-on crash at Taney County intersection

TANEY COUNTY, MO – A crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck Monday afternoon just west of Branson Township left a 41-year-old woman seriously injured, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The wreck occurred at the intersection of Quebec Drive and Fremont Street, in the Table Rock area, at about 2:30 p.m.

An early investigation found that a 38-year-old Hollister man was driving a 2012 Ford F150 pickup truck northbound when he began making a left turn at a hill crest. A 41-year-old local woman was operating a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 motorcycle southbound when she swerved to avoid the pickup, but ultimately hit the vehicle head-on.

First responders had the rider rushed by ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield for serious injuries.

The MSHP crash report indicates both the motorcycle and the pickup sustained minor damage.
