MO: Pedestrian hit, seriously hurt by pickup truck on MO-54 in Audrain County

AUDRAIN COUNTY, MO – A 63-year-old man from Auxvasse was rushed to a hospital Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle on State Highway 54, south of the city of Mexico, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The incident took place on the westbound lanes, about 570 feet west of Audrain Road 964, at around 8:10 p.m.

Preliminary details show a 27-year-old man from Odessa, MO, was driving a 2014 Ford F250 pickup truck that was towing a trailer westbound. At one point, the Ford hit and seriously injured the victim.

Audrain County EMS crews rushed the male pedestrian to University Hospital where his condition remains undisclosed.

No charges have been reported as of this writing.
