MO: Troopers investigate 2-vehicle collision on US 61 near Palmyra

PALMYRA, MO – According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two people were hurt in a two-vehicle collision on US 61, three miles south of Palmyra on Thursday.

A 19-year-old woman was driving a 2023 Hyundai Tucson north on US 61 when she attempted to make a U-turn and collided with a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 61-year-old man around 3:56 p.m.

Rescue crews transported the 19-year-old to an area hospital with moderate injuries. The 61-year-old man refused treatment at the scene for his minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
