The two-vehicle collision occurred on Missouri 114, about a mile west of Sikeston at 3:45 p.m. The MSHP’s crash report states that the driver of a 2021 Toyota Tundra was heading southbound and failed to yield to a 2010 Chevrolet HHR, resulting in a collision.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 29-year-old woman, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Scott County EMS to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Her passenger, a 10-year-old boy, sustained minor injuries and was transported by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital Stoddard in Dexter.  Both are residents of Sikeston.
