STC: Woman injured in multi-vehicle crash on I-55 near Mehlville

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – A 30-year-old woman hospitalized Wednesday morning following a crash involving three vehicles on Interstate 55 near Mehlville, reports the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on the northbound lanes north of Butler Hill Road and was first reported at 7:30 a.m.

Preliminary details indicate that the woman was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer northbound in lane 6, along with a 63-year-old Arnold woman driving a 2023 Dodge Durango and a 68-year-old man operating a 2018 Ford F-150. As the Dodge and the Chevrolet slowed down for congestion ahead, the front of the Ford collided with the back of the Chevrolet, which then hit the back of the Dodge.

Officials said the driver of the Chevrolet was transported by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital for minor injuries.

While no one else was hurt, both the Chevrolet and the Ford received moderate damage, while damage to the Dodge was reported to be minor.

No charges or citations were immediately confirmed.
