STL: 2 left injured after rollover wreck off State Hwy AJ in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – Two people suffered injuries Wednesday afternoon when their pickup truck overturned off State Highway AJ near Washington, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The rollover wreck took place on the northbound lanes near Timber Ridge Drive and was first reported at 3:00 p.m.

Few details have been made available, but officials say the driver, a 27-year-old ma from Leslie, was distracted while driving a 2010 Ford F-150 northbound on the northbound highway. At one point, the pickup veered off the right side of the roadway and rolled over.

Union Ambulance District crews had both the male driver and his passenger, a 26-year-old woman, also from Leslie, transported to Mercy Hospital Washington, for serious and moderate injuries, respectively.

The Ford, which was totaled in the accident, had to be towed from the scene.
