EARTH CITY, MO – Authorities have charged a man with a deadly hit-and-run at Earth City Expressway and Rider Trail South on June 23, according to KSDK.
Koran Adams, 31, allegedly ran a red light when he hit a motorcycle occupied by two people around 2 p.m. Adams then reportedly fled the scene.
First responders transported the motorcyclist’s passenger, Jennifer Eggering, 54, to an area hospital, where she died. The motorcyclist refused treatment.
Investigators determined Adams was the hit-and-run driver by using surveillance footage of him buying gas at a nearby gas station. Adams used his debit card, which helped officers locate him. Adams’ car had driver’s side damage consistent with the crash.
Authorities charged Adams with leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death on Wednesday. He is being held on a $250,000 bond.
