STL: Authorities investigate Kirkwood crash that claimed life of woman, left others hurt

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – A 45-year-old woman lost her life following a two-vehicle accident last Saturday evening, May 4, in Kirkwood that left a number of other people injured, reports FOX 2 Now.

The accident took place at the intersection of Big Bend Road and South Geyser Road (Old Route 66), some time before 8:50 p.m.

According to detectives with the Kirkwood Police Department, one vehicle was heading westbound on Big Bend through the intersection when it hit a second vehicle, which was heading southbound.

Officers arrived on the scene to find the driver of the victim vehicle, a 45-year-old woman, deceased at the site.

While no one in the striking vehicle was seriously hurt, it’s unclear whether anyone had to be taken to a hospital.

An investigation remains ongoing, and the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is expected to review potential charges.
