STL: Driver crashes into embankment to avoid oncoming vehicle in Perry Township

PERRY TOWNSHIP, MO – A driver was hurt in a single-vehicle collision at Cedar Run Rd and Wood Rd on Thursday, according to the Missouri State Highway Highway Patrol.

A 41-year-old woman was driving a 2017 Ford Explorer north on Cedar Run Rd at 9:05 a.m. when she hit an embankment to avoid an oncoming vehicle.

Rescue crews transported the woman to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the oncoming vehicle left the scene.
