FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – Missouri State Highway Patrol said an injury crash happened after a driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel on Thursday.
MSHP believes a 57-year-old man, driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, fell asleep while driving, went over the center line, and crashed into the back left of a 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
The two vehicles went off the road, and the Jeep driver, a 45-year-old man from Bourbon, sustained minor injuries.
Missouri Baptist EMS transported the Bourbon man to the Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment.
The 57-year-old male driver, from Sullivan, was uninjured. MSHP did not say if they cited him.
