STL: Driver injured in crash with semi on I-270 WB near north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO – A 28-year-old woman was injured Thursday morning as a result of a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 270 near north St. Louis, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on the westbound lanes at Bellefontaine Road and was first reported at 5:19 a.m.

Officials said the woman was driving a 2019 Buick Encore westbound on the ramp when she failed to see a 2024 International truck that was stopped and partially blocking lane 4. The front of the Buick collided with the back of the International, causing the Buick to veer off the left side of the roadway and hit the concrete median barrier.

Christian EMS personnel had the driver of the Buick transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital for moderate injuries.

No further details have been released at this time.
