STL: Man injured in two-vehicle wreck at St. Charles County intersection

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO – A two-vehicle collision Thursday morning near southwest Lake St. Louis sent one person to the hospital, reports the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on a stretch of Route N, east of Lake St. Louis Boulevard, at about 7:34 a.m.

According to officials, a 34-year-old Eolia man was driving a 2020 Chevrolet van and was making a turn towards westbound traffic at the same time a 2000 Ford Taurus was traveling eastbound. At one point, the Ford Taurus collided with the driver’s side of the Chevrolet van.

St. Charles County Ambulance District personnel transported the driver of the Chevrolet to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital West for moderate injuries.

No injuries to the other driver, a 21-year-old Scott City woman, were reported.

The Chevrolet and the Ford Taurus received moderate and total damages, respectively, and required towage from the crash site.
