STL: Motorcyclist dies after crash with pickup truck near Mehlville intersection

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – A man died early Tuesday evening after colliding with the back of a pickup truck while riding a motorcycle in Mehlville, according to KSDK.

The fatal incident took place in the area of Union Road and Park Hill Court, some time before 5:30 p.m.

Investigators said the victim was operating a motorcycle northbound and at a high rate of speed on Union Road toward the intersection when the bike collided with the rear of the pickup truck, also traveling northbound.

The rider, who was ejected from the motorcycle during the crash, was rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced deceased shortly after.

No injuries to the driver of the pickup were reported.

An investigation remains in progress with the St. Louis County Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Unit.
