STL: Pedestrian hit, seriously hurt by car on MO-185 near Sullivan

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MO — A 67-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries Tuesday evening after being hit by a vehicle on Missouri Highway 185 near Sullivan, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Officials say the incident took place on a stretch of the southbound highway south of Hackberry Road, at about 5:00 p.m.

Preliminary details show a 27-year-old Mineral Point resident, had their 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 stalled in southbound traffic. A passenger in the Dodge of Sullivan, appeared to have been standing in the roadway near the stalled Dodge when they were struck by a 2021 Kenworth truck, a 34-year-old Yukon, Oklahoma man.

Washington County Ambulance crews rushed one individual to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for serious injuries.
