STL: Police on the Hunt for Driver Responsible for Fatal Hit-and-Run Near Fairground Park

ST. LOUIS, MO – The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Force is looking for the driver of a pickup truck that struck two people near Fairground Park on Friday, killing one and seriously injuring the other.

They say that the fatal hit-and-run happened near the intersection of Natural Bridge and North Grand Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. on August 7.

Initial investigations suggest that a speeding pickup hit a man and a woman who were standing near the curb of Grand Avenue. The driver evidently left without stopping.

Emergency responders transported both victims to an area hospital, where the man died a short time later. The woman remained in critical but stable condition as of early Monday afternoon.
