STL: Teen driver injured in crash on State Rd B near Hillsboro

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – Two teenagers were involved in a two-vehicle wreck Thursday evening on State Road B near Hillsboro that sent one to the hospital, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened south of Forest Drive at around 6:53 p.m.

Officials said a 17-year-old Hillsboro resident was driving a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder northbound when the vehicle began sliding, for reasons still unclear. Moments later, the Nissan crossed the centerline of the roadway and hit the left side of a 2019 Ford F250 traveling southbound.

The driver of the Nissan was transported by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for injuries believed to be minor.

Both vehicles were totaled in the crash and had to be towed from the area.
