EUREKA, MO – A 35-year-old woman from House Springs was injured as a result of a car-Jeep collision in Eureka on Tuesday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 8:15 a.m. at northbound Route W and West Trail Drive.
Preliminary details show that the 35-year-old female driver slowed down and then stopped for a school bus with red flashing lights, unloading students. During that time, a 19-year-old woman, driving a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, failed to pay attention to the road and tailgated a 2017 Jeep Wrangler before rear-ending it.
The 35-year-old woman’s Jeep sustained minor damage, and the woman sustained minor injuries and was rushed to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital by Eureka Fire Protection District.
MSHP did not say whether they cited the 19-year-old woman for following too closely.
